From Busan to Bali: Hansik Korean BBQ Lands at Andaz Bali
Sanur nights just got a new dinner move for the group chat. Hansik Korean BBQ at Andaz Bali is bringing a premium, table-grill Korean BBQ experience to the resort’s Alun-Alun (Village Square), led by Chef Min A, Andaz Bali’s Korean chef who has been with the resort for over two years. It’s rooted in hansik, the traditional Korean way of eating, so expect bold flavor, shared plates, and that interactive “cook it together” energy that makes dinner feel like an event.
Hansik first launched in 2024 as a classic introduction to Korean cuisine, but it has evolved into something more personal and contemporary, pulling from Chef Min A’s childhood in Busan. One of the signature dishes is Dongnae Haemul Pajeon, a Busan-style seafood pancake from the Dongnae district, made with prawn, squid, scallion, egg, and chili. The menu also includes savory pancake options like Kimchi Jeon and Chicken Pancake, plus dishes such as King Prawn Tempura and Black Pork Dumplings.
At the center is the House Menu by Chef Min A, a curated selection that brings together guest favorites from the past two years alongside dishes that best represent authentic Korean flavors. It’s the kind of setup that works for date night, but really shines with friends: order wide, grill slow, and keep the table loud.
