Rasa Nusa: A Celebration on the Plate

Kicking things off on 30 October, Rasa Nusa brings five chefs together for an exclusive six-course dinner at Taman Gita, from 6.30 PM to 9.00 PM. The menu celebrates the diversity of Indonesian cuisine, with highlights including Nasi Campur Tekor by Pekak and Odah Tekor and Lamb Rendang by William Wongso. Expect a journey through regional flavours and traditional ingredients, with each dish offering a taste of the archipelago’s culinary heritage.

Priced at IDR 999,000++ per person, this is one for those who believe the best way to understand a culture is to pull up a chair and dig in.

Ombak ke Bara: From the Ocean to the Open Flame

On 31 October, the action moves outdoors for Ombak ke Bara, a hands-on cooking class led by Chef William Wongso at Alun Alun Garden, from 4.00 PM to 6.00 PM. Inspired by Jimbaran’s longstanding fishing heritage, the experience follows the journey from the arrival of the day’s fresh catch to cooking over an open flame.

With local ingredients, coastal traditions and culinary craftsmanship at its heart, the session offers a more immersive way to connect with the food culture that has shaped this seaside community. At IDR 650,000++ per person, it is an opportunity to get involved, learn from a celebrated culinary expert and discover the stories behind Jimbaran’s flavours.

Pasar Rasa: A Garden Party for Indonesian Flavours

The grand finale arrives on 1 November with Pasar Rasa, an open-air culinary market at Taman Gita Lawn from 6.00 PM to 9.00 PM. Live cooking stations, Indonesian flavours, cultural experiences and local crafts come together in a vibrant garden setting, creating an evening that celebrates the diversity of the nation’s culinary traditions.

More than a food market, Pasar Rasa shines a light on the communities and cultural custodians who keep these traditions alive. Guests can explore the flavours of Indonesia while soaking up the atmosphere of a gathering that brings food, culture and community to the forefront.

Priced at IDR 950,000++ per person, it is a fitting finale to a programme that celebrates Indonesian gastronomy in all its richness.

Keeping Indonesia’s Culinary Stories Alive

At its heart, Local Gastronomy Legacy, Global Recognition is about the people behind the recipes: the culinary experts, local custodians and generations of communities who have preserved Indonesia’s food traditions. By bringing these voices together, InterContinental Bali Resort creates space for heritage to be experienced, shared and introduced to new audiences.

For a weekend plan with a little more flavour, this Jimbaran showcase offers three ways to experience Indonesia through its food, from the finesse of a chef-led dinner to the energy of a garden market. Come hungry, leave inspired, and discover the stories that make Indonesian cuisine worth celebrating.
