Oktoberfest Gets a Balinese Throwback at Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Kuta

There’s nothing quite like a good beer, a generous spread and a lively crowd to bring people together. On 29 September 2026, Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Kuta gave Oktoberfest a distinctly Balinese spin, bringing the annual celebration of German beer and conviviality to the nostalgic world of Djaman Doeloe Bali.
Set against the venue’s throwback ambience, the evening unfolded as a lively social affair where German brewing traditions met the warmth of Balinese hospitality. The result was an Oktoberfest that felt less like a traditional beer festival and more like a spirited night out with friends, complete with hearty food, free-flowing brews, live entertainment and plenty of reasons to raise a glass.
At the centre of the celebration was a special selection of Oktoberfest beers from Breman Brewery, presented through Four Points by Sheraton’s Best Brews™ programme. Crafted for easy drinking and even easier socialising, the beers set the tone for an evening built around good company and good times.

The food took its cues from Oktoberfest classics, with a buffet spread serving up slow-cooked beef goulash, freshly baked Flammkuchen and authentic Bratwurst, alongside an assortment of other hearty favourites. Paired with free-flow beer, the feast brought a taste of Germany to Kuta while retaining the relaxed, welcoming spirit that defines a Bali night out.
Naturally, the entertainment kept pace. A lively drag queen performance brought plenty of energy to the room, turning up the fun and encouraging guests to get into the festive spirit. Then came a distinctly Indonesian interlude courtesy of the Bali Classic Keroncong Band, whose nostalgic melodies added another layer to the evening.

Featuring the ukulele, violin, flute, cello and bass, the ensemble performed Indonesian classics and popular favourites, perfectly complementing the Djaman Doeloe Bali setting. It was an unexpected but fitting pairing: German beer culture on one side, the timeless sounds of Indonesia on the other.
“Oktoberfest is ultimately about bringing people together over great food, great beer, and shared experiences,” said Komang Karsana, Food & Beverages Manager of Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Kuta. “This year’s celebration combined the lively spirit of Oktoberfest with the warmth and nostalgic atmosphere of Djaman Doeloe Bali. Through this unique concept, guests were able to enjoy a globally celebrated festival while experiencing the local charm and hospitality that make Bali so special.”

And perhaps that was the best part of the evening. Rather than simply recreating Oktoberfest in Bali, Four Points by Sheraton Bali, Kuta made it its own – swapping a traditional Bavarian backdrop for a nostalgic Balinese one, while keeping the essential ingredients intact: cold beer, comforting food, good music and a crowd ready to have a good time.
