Founded by three longtime friends—Christian, Kong, and Elaine—KAWI is built on shared intention. Not a trend in sight, not a gimmick in the room. The menu reads like a love letter to the island: thoughtful infusions, childhood echoes (teh botol, anyone?), and ingredients that honor the land, like daluman and coconut nectar, treated with clarity and respect. No smoke, no mirrors—just layered flavor with an almost meditative balance.
But KAWI is more than what’s in your glass. The space itself feels like a sigh of relief: minimal, textural, elegant in its simplicity. A palette of stone, wood, and soft shadows. Now approaching its third anniversary, KAWI is ready to mark the moment with a lineup that speaks to its values: respect, friendship, and creative depth. This May 2025, the bar will host a series of one-night-only collaborations featuring regional trailblazers like Mikael Jasin (Omakafé, Jakarta), Richie Pratadaja (Crio, Jakarta), and a yet-to-be-revealed international guest.
These aren’t your typical guest shifts—they’re intimate exchanges of technique, energy, and philosophy. Less performance, more communion.
